Here are a couple of videos that I put together to share. The first is of Tyler and Kyla doing their swinging thing at the park. Tyler taught Kyla how to do it and she is very proud she can do it now.
The second video I have to explain first. We bought plane tickets a month ago for Alexa and I to go visit Christy in San Fransisco in August for Alexa's 10th birthday. Alexa knew there was a big surprise but we told her it was that she could have this big birthday party wherever she wanted here in Pensacola. So, we decided to tell her where she is really going so we set it up to where I was talking to Christy on Skype about "bills" and how things were tight, ha ha..then we brought her over and explained to her why we wouldn't be able to have her "big" party and then the reason we couldn't have her big party is because we are going to San Fransisco!! I think she was in shock when she first heard but she is super excited now and is counting down the days and me too!! She gets to have one on one time with mommy and her Aunt Christy! We are leaving the 7th of August and will be back on the 11th.

BIG at Hillcrest Church

So, Hillcrest has this awesome summer program for the kids on Wednesday night called BIG. The kids got to pick through some "subjects" of a class that they would want to take through the summer ex. drama, cooking, photography, soccer, fitness, etc... Tyler of course picked soccer, Alexa started out with drama but changed to photography and Kyla's class does a mix of things (she's too young for the other classes) Here is last night..caught a picture of Tyler on his way out to do soccer. Kyla brought her bike b/c they had a bike-a-thon so we got several pictures from that. I couldn't get pictures of Alexa in her photography class but she is very excited about and had a great time!

We went to lunch at my "second mom" Debbie, Momma C's house. Some of you may remember the email I sent out asking if anyone wanted a beagle. Well, Cooper found a home with Debbie and it was so good seeing him so happy instead of on the streets. (colin found him at around 4 in the morning on the highway when he was working and noone ever claimed him).

Tyler in his soccer games

Here are a few pictures of Tyler playing soccer. He loves it and seems to have caught on quite well. We've had comments about how fast he is and that he seems to be a natural which is great since this is the first time he has ever played. He is number 10 and when he is concentrating hard on the game, he sticks his tongue out while he's running, quite funny :)

This is Alexa playing one of her favorite songs to play, Ten Chocolate Cookies and then she begged me to teach her the heart and soul song and play it with her. Few mess ups but pretty good since I had just taught her the day before :) She's doing great in piano and has only been playing for 9 months.

We had Kyla's birthday party Sunday at a place called Triple Play. The kids had a ton of fun and they were all red faced by the end from jumping, running and playing around. Kyla had one of her best friend's Cara stay the night the night before and so she felt very special and had a great day.
Today is her actual b-day, the 20th and we are doing her choice for a b-day dinner and whatever she wants to do today so she's had a great past few days and fun celebration of her 5th b-day...I can't believe my baby is 5!!!

The pool is up again and the kids want to swim and they beg every day to swim. The water is cold which is why you won't see me in there but the kids enjoy it cold or not. Here are a few pics of them today in the pool...Alexa is missing b/c she was at piano but joined them later when the camera was put up and of course a few of Zach, Coco and Riley all wanting the same ball to play with.

We headed to DeFuniak Sunday morning to see daddy (pa) and have lunch with him. Tyler took his new go-cart and go to try it out there and the kids had fun playing outside. This was the end to our Christmas holidays...now time to relax...and clean up!

Later Christmas evening, we went to Uncle Ronnie's and Aunt Margaret's house for some more Christmas. We met up with Casey and Rachel there as well. They came back to our house and we all had a great time hanging out.

Here is Christmas morning! Kids were very excited and were up very early! Christy and mom were here with us and we all had a blast watching the kids tear into their presents. I made a nontraditional lunch with fried chicken and chicken n dumplings...was very tasty!

Mindy, Andy and the boys came Wednesday and we did gift exchange with the kids. The kids had fun and we all had dinner together.

Here are some pics from mom's birthday. We went and saw New Moon and then came back to have cake and open presents. I then cooked mom's choice of spaghetti and we had her birthday dinner. It was a great day! We love you mom/grandmommy!

Sasser get together

We went up to Chatom to get together with the Sasser family, Aunt Sue and Uncle Marty, Carrie, her husband Joseph with Sam and Eli, Jenny and her boyfriend, Emily, Uncle Ray and Aunt Elaine. It was great getting together with them and playing some music. I learned to play the mandolin with a few chords as well. We all visited granny and gave her lots of hugs and kisses and sang "You are my Sunshine" which is her favorite song. Here are a few pics from the day.

Pensacola beach had telescopes out at the beach to where you could see the stars and moon etc and so we went with Rhonda and family out there and the kids got to see the moon up very close. They had a great time hanging at the beach.

Kyla's first day of school was today and she had a great first day. Today was jammed packed full for her and myself. She was ready to go this morning and could hardly wait asking every 5 minutes if it was time to go. She was ready to see Ms. Liz, her teacher. As we were saying goodbye and trying to give her a nice big hug, she literally pushed herself away and went to go play. I think I was more nervous than her, ha ha. She is there 3 hours so I picked her up at 11:30 and she had a great day. She then had her yearly appt with the doctor that included 4 shots ugh and gymnastics at 6pm. She is fast asleep now awaiting school again tomorrow. My baby has grown up quickly on me and I am trying to keep up with her now. Here are a few pictures from this morning before we left and then a couple at the school and just a few others of Zach just staring out the window.

Alexa, Tyler and I went with our friends, Suzanne, Gabriel and Bailey to see the ship, Juan Sebastian de Elcano, 2nd tallest ship in world since it was ported here in Pensacola. It was a long wait and we got rained on but was fun and interesting to see.

Maybe it was b/c I turned 30, who knows, but I got the two best cakes ever this year. One is the one mom always makes me every year since I was young, my angel food with whipcream and strawberries and the other is a strawberry shortcake from the cake shop that Colin got me. They were both delicious and we enjoyed them, yummy!

Tyler's class got to go on a field trip to Panama City on a boat to see the dolphins and go out to shell island. The kids had a ton of fun and so did the parents. Here are some pics of the day. The one where Tyler has a whistle in his mouth, he is standing with his teacher, Mrs. Stinson whom he loves. Also, the one where my hand is stretched out and I have a weird look on face is b/c I held out a cracker and a bird took it right out of my hand! It was just me and the kids Saturday and so I took them to the beach to enjoy the beautiful day outside. It was the first beach trip this year and they were so excited and played nonstop in the water. Look forward to the rest of the summer and plenty more trips.

We had Kyla's birthday party today at Solutia Park and it was so much fun. They had fun eating the wonderful cake Tina made, blowing bubbles, sack race, water balloons and just playing with each other at the park. Monday was Kyla's birthday and we had a little family party for her that evening. She got to open presents from us, pick her dinner and grandmommy made her a chocolate cake. This video is so cute and special to me. It shows moments that noone else but us here at home get to see. The kids love to put on shows/plays directed by Alexa of course. Tyler is the host/judge here. Alexa and Kyla are contestants and have to sing a song. Alexa gets up and sings hers and then Kyla sings hers. Both songs are made up by them. It's moments that unless you catch by accident, you will never get to see from them, especially Kyla. It's worth the watch.

These are from the photographer on the ship from Sixthman (Christy's work). First of me and Christy and the other is the featured band Barenaked Ladies and then of course Sarah McLachlin. I got to see Sarah perform twice and Barenaked Ladies the last night. Most nights, I was in bed by 9pm, lol b/c of my cold.

Last day..

The last night there, I watched the sunset on the ship. Then, the next morning, Christy and I got up early, got our things together, had our coffee, and set off to help the guests get off the boat. It was a long morning, but we made it through. We took a shuttle from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale, then plane to Atlanta, and then I said goodbye to Christy and drove home, made it by 10 that night. Had a wonderful time and blessed to have that time with Christy, but very glad to be home with the family!

4th day--Key West

This was the day, Thursday we were supposed to go to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas but since a cold front came through and there were weather advisories, they took us to Key West instead. This was another day I was sick and it was 50 degrees in Key West, so Christy and I stayed on the ship and hung out. We managed of course to take some more pics of ourselves, lol.

3rd day-Wednesday-back at sea..

Here are a few pics from Wednesday on the ship. We took some time to go to the end of the ship and pose for a few pictures. It wouldn't be the same without me and Christy posing for the camera, lol. There was also events and shows going on that Christy worked during the day. This was one of the days I was actually sick and took most of this day to rest and did a lot of sleeping.

Christy and I had a great Tuesday in Cozumel. We got off the ship and took a taxi to the beach, hung out there and then went around to all of the shops. We made it back safe and sound to the ship that afternoon! Great time!

I combined all the Christmas pictures together, narrowed them down and put them all in a montage. There was just too many to post separately, lol. Anyway, it starts with Christmas with Rhonda and kids, my two sisters, Casey and Rachel coming and doing Christmas with us and mom, then Christmas eve, to Christmas morning, to going to my sister Mindy's for lunch and Christmas there to my sister Christy coming that evening. We had a great time and Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy New Year!
