Fun at Burger King

Alexa and her best friend, Tiara, Kyla, Jasmine and Clarissa and me, all went to Burger King after school on Friday (they got out at 12:30) and the kids had a blast playing.

Tyler and Kyla

Tyler and Kyla had fun on Saturday riding around in Alexa's princess car. It was actually really cold that morning!

Homecoming Parade

Friday was homecoming for our little town of DeFuniak Springs, and we went to the parade with Clarissa, Tiara, and Jasmine. The kids loved it. Kyla actually wasn't too scared by the noise this time. The got lots of Candy, and Smokey the Bear blew Alexa a kiss.

Pics of Kids

Alexa is pouting, not sure about what, but she certainly has it down pat, lol.

Kyla playing

Well, we are all just about healthy now. Alexa and Tyler are back in school, and Kyla is doing great. My sore throat is gone, and I'm feeling much better. Back to work tonight! Kyla and I played outside this morning. It felt so good to be out in the fresh air. She had a lot of fun. Here are a few pics and a video! Oh yeah, she put herself in that cage and didn't want to get out. I had to pull her out screaming, lol.

another update

Just wanted to update those of you whom I haven't spoken to..
Alexa is 100% better and is back in school.
Tyler is now fever free and doing much better. Pink eye is gone as well.
Kyla is still very sick. She woke up early this morning with a fever of 105.5, and we had to take her to ER. She's been having very high fever for several days of 104, but never that high. It's been hard to get her fever down. They told us to give her the children's motrin/tylenol. (we'd been giving her the infants) and gave her a shot of antibiotics. Her fever came down, but she is still feeling bad. They said she has viral syndrome/flu. (which antibiotics won't do a thing for, but just in case) She also still has pink eye pretty bad.
Colin and I are both sick with the same thing. We both still have pink eye.
We are working on getting everyone better and healthy. Keep us in your thoughts.

an update

Just an update for everyone... kids are still sick here. Alexa has been out of school since last Monday and is still sick. We are going for a follow up Dr. apt today. Tyler just got what Alexa has yesterday, so it's just starting for him. Please pray that Kyla does not get this. It's a mixture a stomach bug, sore throat, coughing and sneezing and high fever.
Colin also got hurt at work this morning. He cut his leg on some glass and had to go get stitches. I'm not sure how many, still waiting to hear from him.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. It's been a rough couple of weeks.
Thanks!

My new hair cut!

Well, I got my hair cut really short. I thought about growing it out for awhile there, but I wore it up every single day and it just got old. I like this new look, and most people around me like it too. Funny, since I started my job, everyone thinks I'm like 17, so I thought this shorter cut might make me look older, but nope, they still tell me I look like a teenager, lol. I'm taking that as a compliment!
