Christy's visit with us

For the past couple of days, we got to visit with my sister, Christy and her boyfriend, Eric. They came all the way from California to visit with all the family. It was great seeing her and finally getting to meet Eric. (who is really sweet and was very patient with the kids crawling on him and Alexa calling him "Prince Eric") They make a really cute couple. Since it is so hot outside, the kids and I are inside this morning. I made the kids each a coloring book off the internet. (how wonderful internet is when you can get free coloring pages) They eached colored them and then wanted a pic taken with them. (yes, I helped tyler) Then, Kyla liked posing for the camera with the hat she kept putting on.

Yesterday evening, we went over to our friends Will and Clarissa's house. They just moved back to DeFuniak, so we love having them here. We hung out and the kids played and had fun. Alexa and Tiara (4) are good friends and have a lot of fun. They also have a 7 month old, Jasmine, who is just adorable. Kyla seems so big compared to her. Tyler, poor guy, surrounded by girls, had fun playing anyway. I got to ride their four wheeler all over which I haven't done since a teenager. That was tons of fun! No pics of that, sorry. LOL

Day at the Track in Destin

One of the benefits of Colin working in Destin with Coca Cola, is that he gets some deals at the places he delivers to. The manager at the track gave him 5 tickets for all of us to visit there and ride rides completely for free! So, we took the kids out today, and they had a blast. It was tons of fun for them and us. Having kids lets you do all the fun kid stuff again. Here are some pics of our day.

This was "one time opportunity" pictures b/c it NEVER happens! We had to go somewhere and all the kids were dirty, so we just stuck them in there and bathed one at a time. It was fun for the kids.

This morning I took the kids to the park. It was sort of a "I'm sorry for ignoring you for the past two days thing." I was sick with some stomach bug for the past two days, but today I felt so much better, I decided to go do something with them. As you see in the pics, Kyla was testing the water. She never walked in it before, but she decided to this time and got soaked. She walked right into the heaviest part, and mommy had to run in and get her. Also, Alexa lost another tooth, so the toothfairy left her some money last night. We went to tastee freeze after the park to spend her toothfairy money. She got a big chocolate ice cream cone. (I got Tyler one too of course)
